Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Unprompt browser extension, this website, and related services (together, the "Service"), provided by TDCProducts, a sole proprietorship ("we," "us," "our"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. The Service

Unprompt is a browser extension that hides certain known, declared AI surfaces — such as AI Overviews, embedded AI chat and support widgets, AI-labeled blocks, and similar elements — using deterministic blocking rules that update from our servers. A free tier and a paid "Pro" tier are available, as described on our pricing page.

2. Best-effort blocking

This is important, so we'll state it plainly: Unprompt blocks known AI surfaces on a best-effort basis, and does not and cannot block 100% of AI content. The Service works by matching known, declared AI surfaces with deterministic rules. It does not analyze text to judge whether content is "intelligent" or AI-generated, and it does not claim to detect AI with certainty.

Websites change constantly. When a site changes how it presents AI, our rules may temporarily miss it until they are updated. You accept that the Service's coverage will vary over time, that some AI content may appear despite the Service, and that this is an inherent characteristic of the product rather than a defect.

3. Plans, billing & auto-renewal

The Free tier is offered at no charge. Pro is offered as a subscription, billed monthly or annually as you select at checkout. All payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as our merchant of record and reseller. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) at the then-current rate for your plan, unless you cancel before the renewal date. Promotional or "founding" pricing applies as described at the time of purchase. Taxes may apply and are handled by Paddle based on your location.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Paddle billing portal linked in your purchase receipt, or by emailing support@tryunprompt.com. When you cancel, your subscription will not renew, and you keep Pro access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

5. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on a first subscription purchase. Paddle administers refunds as merchant of record.

6. Updates to rules & features

We may update, add, or remove blocking rules, categories, and features at any time, including to keep pace with changes on the websites Unprompt operates on. We may also modify or discontinue parts of the Service. We aim to improve the Service over time, but we don't guarantee that any particular rule, category, or feature will remain available.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law;
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without our written permission;
• Abuse the reporting or rule-update systems, including by submitting automated, fraudulent, or excessive requests;
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or our infrastructure.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including the Unprompt name, the extension software, our blocking rules, and this website, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

9. "As is" & no warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including (without limitation) implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will block all AI content, that it will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or continuous availability of rule updates or any other part of the Service.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and uninstall the extension at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us, other users, or third parties. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Arizona for any dispute not subject to arbitration or small-claims resolution, to the extent permitted by law.

13. Changes & contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above, and for material changes we'll provide reasonable notice in the extension or on this site.
